I was reading a beautiful book authored by Dr Wayne Dyer on the power of intention and was reminded of my grandparents who always said “shubh shubh bolo” which meant always speak something good or positive because situations turn out to be the way we express them. We attract energies from the universe every moment based on our intentions so why invite negative energy with a negative thought or speech.

I was immersed in this thought on the power of intention and suddenly there was a hurricane of energy and excitement knocking at my house door. My 11 year old son was waiting to share with pride that his football team had defeated the strongest team in his school’s inter house football tournament. Just three days ago, he was sulking and was very sure that his team will not be able to win over this strongest team because they had lost to them miserably in the previous year in the finals. At that time I had told him that he had two options, i.e., “You think whatever happens you will give your 100% and your team is going to win” OR “You keep thinking that this team is very strong and we will not be able to win over them”. I told him that he might think that they would give their 100% even in the second option but because he had already programmed his intention to accept a defeat, he and his team will never be able to win.

This was my casual remark to him, just to pep him up but I think it impacted him deeply. After the win he narrated that he went to school the next day and took charge of the team as a captain and prepared a strategy to win. He made a list of things which he felt were the strengths of his team and shared with his teammates so that they play to their strength without worrying about whom they were playing against. Surprisingly they won this match by 7-3 which was an unbelievable situation for everybody around them including his football coach.

When he was sharing this episode with my husband later in the evening, my husband asked him, what was one thing which lead them to win the match? His quick answer was ‘ATTITUDE’ and while I don’t know if he understands what it really means, he had captured the essence of the word and it worked for his team. So believe in the power of your intentions, because your intentions become your words, your words become your actions, your actions become a habit, your habits define your character and finally your character governs your destiny. So if you ever heard, that you control your destiny, remember the key to same lies in the power of your intention.

An inspiring thought! Intentions need execution to back them into what you want to happen.

I’ve been browsing online more than 2 hours today, yet I never found any interesting article like yours.
It is pretty worth enough for me. In my opinion, if all web owners
and bloggers made good content as you did, the internet will be a lot more useful than ever before.
